December Fun

December was a month filled with fun activities and our primary focus all month for school was on Christmas and the birth of Jesus Christ. We had lots of fun with family and friends throughout the month.

We were able to do some caroling and brother and I stayed very busy making various Christmas crafts and gifts to include: candles, sewing, ornaments, painting, etc.

We also had a fun filled day with Aunt Tina and Grandma making yummy treats to share with our neighbors and coworkers. We also got together with our small group and the kids made some pretty amazing gingerbread houses.

We celebrated Daddy's birthday in December. Daddy is King of our Castle so we decorated his chair.

Brother and Sister both love playing out in the snow. I just wish I had my camera with me at all times so I could get more shots of both of them. Sister will often times grab a hat (anybody's hat) and a pair of shoes (again, anybody's shoes) in hopes you will take her outside to play.

Still loving wearing things on her head...

Cuddling with Cousin after a fun Christmas gathering.

Fun picture of some of the girls at Great Grandma's house.

We had a wonderful Christmas with many of our family members. We even had a visit from Aunt Leah from Arizona for a few days! We love visitors!!

Nov - Sister's Birthday and Thanksgiving Focus

Sister is now a very active one-year old. We had a fun butterfly party for her and she loved her cake as you can see from the pictures.

We were also able to go on a field trip to Daddy's city shop with friends.

All decked out in his camo gear and pop gun - ready to hunt down that pesky turkey for Thanksgiving. We made up a song "We're going on a Turkey Hunt" to go along with the tune "We're going on a Bear Hunt".

Brother with his cousin.

She has started to want to wear everything on her head - and is still doing this - anything that can be wrapped over her shoulders or placed on her head are favorites.

Brother and I also spent two weeks focusing on Thanksgiving this year and did a ton of fun crafts and brother also memorized the sign language for the first half of Psalm 100 to share with Grandpa.

Jan - Brother's Birthday

Brother is officially six years old. On his actual birthday evening we made individual pizzas - Brother decided he wanted to make a mac and cheese pizza with pepperoni - he loved it!

Here are a few pictures from Brother's jungle birthday party.Brother  had a ton of fun. Half way through the evening he came running out and said "I had so much fun at my party." I said, "Well, everyone is still downstairs so go have more fun."

Some of our decorating items.

Yes - Daddy actually hung a rope in our basement for the kids to swing on - huge hit!

The whole gang with hats and binoculars that Brother and I put together.

Daddy was able to take a couple of days off last week to go squirrel and deer "hunting" - Brother spent more time playing on the pond and in the creek.

Can't get over all the hats (and various other items) she loves to wear. Just a warning if you come visit - you may leave without your hat : )
