Loves His Grandpa

Just took this picture today and LOVE it. We are blessed to have Grandpa join us
every Wednesday for Science time. They just started their summer focus of
Botany. Big Brother loves his weekly visits with Grandpa!

2-Story Playhouse

Daddy created this 2-story playhouse for the kids to enjoy in the basement. There is a hole in the bottom of the second floor for them to climb up to the second level. It is a pretty sturdy structure - not that I would volunteer to get inside, but the kids really love it!

Baby Sister

Baby Sister is always full of smiles and loves to cuddle!

Building Towers - Sibling Fun

I really never thought to use these floor mats for actually building a three-dimensional building, but Big Brother used his creativity to create some fun structures - that him and his sister would fit right inside of.

Love the quirky smiles I get these days - one-eyed crooked smile from Big Sister makes me laugh every time.

God's Creation

I truly love getting the opportunities to take the time to enjoy God's creation! He provides us so many things to remind us of his glory and unfortunately, we can so easily be distracted by the busyness of the world around us. I pray that each of you were able to take the time to slow down this Easter season and reflect on what God has done for all of us and for each of us.

We have been blessed to have a kill deer nest in our garden area. Big Brother took this picture and many others and even went out with his sketch book to get a drawing of the kill deer sitting on the eggs.

This is not the clearest picture and definitely falls short of showing how amazing this was, but gives you an idea of the beautiful moon we were able to see on our drive home from Good Friday service.

Easter

Easter Morning!

Big Sister's whack at the pinata.

Lovin' the hair!

Goggles and gardening gloves were a part of the Easter gifts for the kids.
They are wearing them around all the time : )

April Fools

Big Sister was not impressed with Mommy's April Fools joke of "lemonade" as she could not get it to come out of her cup. It was really lemon jello. She didn't want anything to do with it once she realized it was not lemonade.
Even though she does like jello.

Mommy also made brownies (Brown E's). Everyone thought this was funny!

Family Time

Little Sister is really growing up so fast. Big Brother and Big Sister truly adore her.

Yes - that would be our little princess in an alligator hat : )

Took the opportunity after church a couple of weeks ago to get some quick family shots.
I never think to do these, but love having them to see how our family changes.

We were able to spend the afternoon with the kids' grandparents and great grandparents.
Loved the beautiful weather we were having the first part of April. Big Sister enjoyed shooting a marshmallow
gun and Big Brother loved the fishing time he had with Daddy.

Just taking it all in.

Glimpse Into Our School Activities (March/April)

Big Brother had his first Art Show along with some of his friends. It was fun to have so many people come and see the art the kids had been working on throughout the school year. These pictures are of Big Brother's art display area.

As part of our Easter curriculum, we focused on the plagues of Egypt talked about in Exodus. Each day we sat out a reminder for us of these plagues. The picture above is the Day of the Locusts. We each had a plastic grasshopper on our plate of food to remind us of this plague.

This was our second year of putting together an Egg pinata for our family gathering. Our Easter pictures will have the final pinata that was created. We always have a lot of fun with this as it is very messy to make.

We also did some learning activities with Jelly Beans for Easter.
The kids enjoyed eating them as they worked on their worksheets.

One project for school this past month was putting together a model
of the tabernacle. It really showed us the details that Moses had to follow from God's
instructions of putting the tabernacle together.

Science Experiment's with Grandpa: This is small piece of Ivory Soap

This is an expanded piece of Ivory soap after being placed in the microwave for just 30 seconds.

This was one of our empty tomb crafts during our time of Easter focus.
We planted grass seed all throughout the dirt.

We also had some fun naturally dyeing eggs - the above picture was using
red cabbage and the below picture is from red onion leaves. So neat to see
what colors would be created.
