The Big One - Yep I Am Now 5

I had such a fun birthday! I had a dinosaur birthday and got to play with my cousins. I wished for a flying house when I blew out my candles...not sure where I will get all those balloons though.


This is my dinosaur cake that mommy made. She kept telling people not to eat the red frosting - I helped put food coloring in the frosting - lots of food coloring. I also helped her put the dinosaurs and rocks on the cake. We even had flying dinosaurs hanging above the cake - that was daddy's idea.

I got a lot of fun gifts - every time I opened up something I would shout - "this is exactly what I wanted".

We played lots of games - here we are throwing balls into a dinosaurs head that mommy and I put together. It is amazing what you can make with a diaper box, toilet paper rolls, tissue paper, and glue.



We also got to set off volcanos. We made quite the mess, but it was a ton of fun.


Mom and I had fun doing dinosaur crafts the whole week prior to my birthday. Mommy would draw and I got to help paint.

Multiple Christmas Gatherings

First Christmas Gathering (week prior to Christmas) - these are just a couple of the pictures taken - just too many to choose from and not enough time in the day to upload all that Mommy wanted.


I got lots of great presents and had a ton of fun playing with my cousins this day.

Christmas Day at Home

Mom wanted to get special pictures of sister and I in our Christmas sweaters. We didn't make it to church Christmas Eve because I was running a fever, but was fine Christmas morning. I just love getting my picture taken.

Sister's first Christmas - just had so much fun and I got to open up all her presents for her.


Our most favorite gift - tooo cute.

I am really into packing materials - this and foam peanuts are great!

Although Daddy had to work most of the day on Christmas we still got to hang out with Grandma and Grandpa Core - who stayed the night with us for two days because the weather was icky. We opened presents once in the morning and then again in the afternoon after Daddy got off work. He was tired, but still joined in the fun.

Sister got a stuffed pig for Christmas and I thought she would have fun cuddling with it.

Christmas at Great Grandma Cores
For a special treat, everyone decorated Gingerbread men and then Grandpa read us a story about the gingerbread men and no one could catch him because he was so fast.

Four Generations of Cores

This is four generations of the Core family. My great grandma, grandpa, daddy, sister and I. I think I am really blessed to have four generations of family.

AND NOW THERE ARE FOUR

There are now four members to the Core household. Daddy, Mommy, sister, and myself. I am really enjoying the big brother role, but one thing that I am still adjusting to is sharing...now don't get me wrong, I do a good job sharing my toys with others, but now I have to share my Daddy and Mommy...and my blog...


When things get to be a bit too much for me, I enjoy going outside and playing in the SNOW - one of my most favorite things to do.

FALL IS HERE

It has again been awhile since Mommy last updated, but she thought she should get it updated before my little sister arrives - sometime in the next week and 1/2. Hopefully once we are all home together she will find a few more times each month to provide updates on me and my sister.

These are pictures from an apple orchard we went to a couple weekends ago. It was soooo much fun. First Mommy took me on Wednesday and we had so much fun that Daddy took us back on Sunday afternoon. We did all sorts of different things and even got to pick and bring home a big bag of apples.

WEDNESDAY'S TRIP - WE HAD THE WHOLE PLACE TO OURSELVES PRACTICALLY

This was great - I had the whole bouncy pillow all to myself!

Hey - if I can't make a snow angel, the next best thing is the corn!


This little goat really liked me - I got to come back and visit him on Sunday and feed him and his friends.


SUNDAY'S TRIP - THERE WERE LINES EVERYWHERE WE LOOKED




Daddy really had alot of fun on the pillow with me. Mommy finally had to come tell us to stop jumping because there was a big line of kids waiting to get on.

It is hard to see me, but I am on this slide with Daddy. Again, Daddy just loved it...and so did I.

We got to sling shot apples into a field with big cut out cows and haybale targets.

This was the best - I got to climb up into trees and pick apples - they were so good.


I got to take this picture of Mommy and Daddy all by myself - I must say it didn't turn out too bad.

BOATING AND THE BEACH

Going boating and playing on the beach have become a favorite thing to do in our family...when we find the time. It used to be boating and fishing, but the fishing usually lasts about 5 minutes and if I don't catch a fish it is off to the BEACH. Here are a few pictures from a recent trip. We usually take our boat to church with us and head off to the lake right after for a picnic lunch.










By the end of the day, I am completely exhausted, but I just LOVE IT!
