Lovin' Those Peas

Baby Sister is a lover of peas. She is also very independent and enjoys feeding herself. The down side to this is she does not enjoy bibs so we get very messy at meal time!

Costumes...

This year, I created a hot dog costume for Seth using a red, adult-sized hoodie and brown robe that I picked up for under $2 at Salvation Army. I did some cutting and sewing and more cutting and sewing and here is the final outcome. We did add an additional grill mark across Seth's face for our time at our church's Fall Festival and around our neighborhood.

We also picked up clear plastic bottles and swirled around red and yellow for ketchup and mustard.

Posing with Aunt Tina at the Fall Festival.

Enjoying some "candy" aka cereal : )

Fall Fun...Pumpkins

We love to create a scarecrow and set him up on our front porch for the season.

It's pumpkin carving time. Although Big Sister is rolling up her sleeves, she refused to touch the inside of the pumpkins.

Big Brother dug right in and enjoyed every minute of it!

Big Brother was able to carve his own pumpkin this year and he did an amazing job!!

This is Big Brother's pumpkin - note the bat on the side. He did all this carving on his own.

This was Big Sister's design with the heart (below) on the back.

Helping Hands

I now have all three kiddos wanting to help unload the dishwasher. I ended up moving our dishes down to a lower cabinet so they could more easily put dishes away and set the table. They are great helpers!!

Pumpkin Patch Family Time

We enjoyed a full day at the pumpkin patch about a little over a week ago. We had absolutely beautiful weather and had so much fun just hanging out as a family.

Corn maze.

Gourds and Pumpkins Galore!

Even Baby Sister was able to enjoy a tractor ride.

Baby Sister loved digging and throwing the corn...didn't last too long before she decided it looked like a nice snack - yuck!

Duck Races!

Strong Big Sister pushing our wheelbarrow of gourds and pumpkins - over 20 pounds.

Yikes! She's Standing!

Baby Sister has been doing this for about a week, but finally caught it on camera. Thinking it won't be long before she is walking! Mommy is not ready for this stage, but know the kids will love her walking around with them.

Harvest Time - Sensory Bin

Big Brother and I had a fun time putting together this month's sensory table. Our "Harvest Time" table includes soy beans, grain bins, pumpkins, pears, Fall leaves, acorns, loaders and dump trucks. Big Brother and Big Sister have both been enjoying playing in it.

All Smiles - Love of the Great Outdoors!

Sensory Table

We love our new sensory table. I was able to pick it up for just $10 at a sale. Right now it is full of moon sand, but in a few days I am going to put together a Harvest Sensory Table, full of corn, soybeans, and everything autumn. Will try to remember to post a picture.

God's Creation

Love that we were able to capture a picture of a female ruby-throated hummingbird a couple of weeks back. It happened to be the same day we were focusing on it for our nature study time. We enjoyed running around "chasing", while at the same time trying not to scare it away.
